33 Magazine published an article about Ukrainian Fashion Week noseason sept 2021.

Stylist, editorial manager and fashion editor of 33 Magazine Sebastian Felix has visited Kyiv to attend Ukrainian Fashion Week and shares his impressions in the article.

In Sebastian’s review: BEZMEZH, Ukrainian Fashion Education Group UFEG, ARUTIUNOVA, GOD NAKED, PANOVE, LEM, LVIV FASHION SCHOOL, MDNT: 45, MILD POWER.

„Founded in 1997, Ukrainian Fashion Week has become the first fashion week in Central Europe. Since then, despite neither any political or economical turmoil in the country and in the world, they haven’t skipped a single season. A few seasons ago Ukrainian Fashion Week, overcoming challenges that any fashion week faces, and demonstrating a willingness to respond to them, as a sign of support of the Ukrainian designers, has announced the out-of-season concept NO SEASON Season and has established the phygital-format. The UFW hybrid format provides inclusiveness for all, who are interested in the Ukrainian fashion industry, due to open online access to fashion shows.

The priorities of Ukrainian Fashion Week are support of young designers, industry development, and cross-sectorality.

We’ve had the pleasure of physically attending Ukraine Fashion Week’s 49th edition. Held in Kiev a city that can only be described as two extremes colliding painting an euphoric-melancholic scenery which is certain to leave its mark in anyone’s memory no matter ones background.

During this edition an amalgam of creative spirits, both emerging and already established Ukrainian designers have presented their latest collection on the runway. From a structural attention for details to an experimental almost surrealist approach to fashion, the runway has shown us all different facets of Ukrainian fashion and craftsmanship. Complete authenticity is a rare and refreshing thing to witness, which was very present in the midst of Ukrainian designers, who effortlessly managed to present in an unfiltered manner their aesthetic vision and points of view“ – Sebastian Felix writes.
