UFW x CPHFW SS25

Ukrainian Fashion Week will showcase J’AMEMME, KATERINA KVIT, OMELIA, PLNGNS and SIDLETSKIY at Copenhagen Fashion Week

The event will take place within the “Support Ukrainian Fashion” Initiative*. Copenhagen Fashion Week was one of the first fashion weeks in the world to join the “Support Ukrainian Fashion” Initiative, launched by UFW after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. In the SS25 season, the institutions will partner for the fifth time.

On August 6, at Ukraine House in Denmark, Ukrainian fashion brands J’AMEMME, KATERINA KVIT, OMELIA, PLNGNS and SIDLETSKIY united by a desire to preserve creativity, cultural heritage and craftsmanship while aligning towards sustainability in the fashion industry, will introduce their SS25 collections.

The installation’s theme will be Askania-Nova, one of the oldest biosphere reserves on the planet and the largest protected steppe area in Europe, which is currently suffering daily from the consequences of the Russian occupation.

“Our resilience is a testament to the strength of the fashion industry, the power of solidarity, and the unbreakable spirit of Ukrainian designers. We strive to preserve culture, traditions, and creativity in the darkest times. Our responsibility is to speak through fashion about the daily challenges: the thousands of industry workers who continue to work under extremely difficult conditions – despite rocket attacks and power outages. To explain to colleagues around the world the challenges Ukrainians overcome daily and what is happening in Ukraine now,” said Iryna Danylevska, Founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week.

* The “Support Ukrainian Fashion” Initiative, launched by the Ukrainian Fashion Week team in March 2022, symbolises solidarity and support for Ukrainian designers during the challenging times of the full-scale Russian invasion.
