UFW SS25: VIKTOR ANISIMOV show
For Spring-Summer 2025, designer Viktor Anisimov continues exploring the concept of uniforms, a recurring theme in his work. Anisimov believes that menswear is rooted in utilitarian clothing, and in military uniforms in particular, which later transitioned into civilian attire. His design work often references this evolution, highlighting how once purely functional details have become an integral part of the modern urban wardrobe.
At Ukrainian Fashion Week SS25, Anisimov unveils a collection of multi-layered looks, each styled from three to five garments. The pieces are lightweight and thin, and are all designed to work together in an outfit proposed by the designer. The collection underscores the versatility of the garments and puts an emphasis on their complementarity and interchangeability. Anisimov’s vision for the modern urban wardrobe is one where functionality meets fashion, allowing one to either stand out and express themselves or to retreat and hide from the world through clothing.
In 2022, VIKTORANISIMOV took part in the Ukrainian Fashion Now project, organized by the Ukrainian Fashion Week and the Pitti Uomo international fair in Florence.
Anisimov embraced sustainable practices in 2023 when he began incorporating certified eco-friendly materials into his designs. This shift marked a new chapter for VIKTORANISIMOV, with the brand’s first permanent collection debuting at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS24. The designer returned to Copenhagen with his autumn-winter 2025 collection, further solidifying the brand’s presence on the international fashion stage.
In 2024, Anisimov’s expertise extended beyond the runway – he designed the Ukrainian Paralympic team’s official uniform for the opening ceremony of the Paris Paralympic Games. This project aligns with his long-term vision of starting a Ukrainian sportswear brand, set to launch in winter 2025.
