UFW SS25: UPSLOWUSE show

The SS25 AWAKENED collection symbolises awakening humanity and realising the value of the planet’s natural resources. According to designer Mila Ogly, the collection consists of three main blocks that capture different stages of awakening.

The designer shows fear and desolation through items made of recycled denim created from old jeans from the 1980s and 1990s. The birth of hope is symbolised by clothes made of the ecological material lyocell, which is produced from eucalyptus fibre. Mila Ogly shows humanity’s work on its mistakes with the help of new eco-technologies: eco-print, when the fabric is dyed through the natural process of plant fermentation; Biodesign technology, when accessories and clothes are created using stabilised plants, grass and moss. Another innovation is openwork items woven by hand from recycled denim. In this way, the brand gave old jeans a third life.

The collection includes Waterdrop jewellery made from melted glass bottles, pieces of denim left over from sewing clothes, and silver. The designer was inspired to create the drop by a vital number – during the production of the previous Yesterday’s Future collection; the UPSLOWUSE brand saved 1 million litres of water.
