UFW and YANKO Charitable Foundation have signed a cooperation agreement
The undeniable trend of all seasons is compassion. The return of Ukrainian Fashion Week is not just about showcasing the talent of creators. Designers, their teams, guests, and UFW SS25 partners have set an ambitious charitable goal — to raise funds for the equipment needed at the palliative department of the Svyatenko Rehabilitation Clinic in Tsibli village, Kyiv region. The total sum required amounts to 4,003,242 hryvnias. YANKO Charitable Foundation oversees the fund management and the purchase of the necessary equipment.
During these difficult times, our aim is ambitious. Volodymyr Nechyporuk, the General Producer of Ukrainian Fashion Week, has gathered participating designers to discuss effective fundraising methods. These include promoting the initiative and selling and raffling show tickets. One example is the charity cocktail party hosted by Ivan Frolov at the 11MIRRORS hotel, which raised 232,472 hryvnias.
UFW’s partners are also joining in. During the meeting with participating designers and partners, the team of PUMB announced the decision to donate 997,121 hryvnias to acquire an artificial lung ventilation apparatus. You can find a complete list of the needed equipment for the Svyatenko Rehabilitation Clinic via this link: https://sv-recovery.com/pidtrimka.
As Ukrainian Fashion Week General Producer Volodymyr Nechyporuk noted: “Our comeback would have been impossible if it wasn’t for the heroic resistance of our defenders. It would have been wrong to focus solely on our professional topics. In a time of mortal danger for Ukraine, I can proudly say that the fashion industry contributed to strengthening the defense of our country.
You can’t get used to war, but you can and SHOULD get accustomed to the new conditions. And live in the present. Tomorrow will never come. That is why we create and help.
This season, our charitable component is raising funds to purchase equipment for the palliative care department for veterans at the Svyatenko Rehabilitation Clinic.
Some may not know what palliative care is. Palliative care is often associated only with terminal patients and with help provided to the incurably ill (which includes, first of all, pain relief). However, the very concept of palliative care is much broader than end-of-life care.”
You can make a donation to support the palliative care unit by contributing any amount to the fund.
