SS27: KACHOROVSKA’S EMERGING BRANDS PRIZE — WINNER ANNOUNCED

Ukrainian brand Kachorovska continues its initiative supporting emerging designers participating in Ukrainian Fashion Week, launched in 2024. This season, following an initial review of the participating brands and their presentations and shows, the Kachorovska team selected APSARA as the winner.

Supporting emerging designers remains an important part of Ukrainian Fashion Week’s mission. During the full-scale war, it is not only about introducing new names, but also about creating the conditions in which these talents can grow into sustainable Ukrainian brands. This is why UFW’s official programme continues to bring emerging designers and young labels alongside established brands, while its professional ecosystem includes educational programmes, competitions, trade shows, and other forms of support.

“This year’s Fashion Week took place under extraordinarily difficult circumstances. Even so, choosing among such a strong group of candidates was not easy. But the light, warmth, sense of ease, and beauty we felt in APSARA’s collection brought a much-needed feeling of light and hope.

This is why we decided to award this year’s Kachorovska Emerging Brands Prize to Yuliia Psaryova and direct the grant towards the further development of the brand,” says Alina Kachorovska, Creative Director and CEO of Kachorovska.APSARA will receive a UAH 100,000 grant, which can be used for areas directly contributing to the brand’s development, including production, materials, technological equipment, professional software, marketing, participation in international industry events, or other needs identified by the brand’s team.

The Kachorovska initiative continues the practice of private-sector support for emerging Ukrainian designers, which is becoming an increasingly important part of the country’s professional fashion ecosystem. Ukrainian fashion is not developing despite the challenging circumstances, but within them — and providing young brands with the resources to grow is an investment in the future of the industry.
