SS27: Nazarelli show

In the new SS27 collection, the Nazarelli brand reinterprets leopard print through the prism of sophisticated mid-20th-century fashion, combining it with a deep personal history and corporate transparency.

The inspiration for the collection was the “golden era” of couture – Christian Dior’s design solutions of the 1940s- 1950s and the noble images of Hollywood icons (Marlene Dietrich, Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor). In Nazarelli’s interpretation, leopard print appears not as an element of shock, as it was seen in the fashion of the millennium, but as a symbol of aristocracy, confidence and timeless style.

The collection was based on the golden rule of fashion of that time, often repeated by Monsieur Dior: leopard is unpretentious; it can be combined with clothes you would wear with black. The visual palette of the collection is built on contrast and harmony: the bold leopard pattern is balanced by deep, calm beige and classic black tones. The cut is focused on clear and feminine silhouettes – figure-fitting sheath dresses, jackets with complex drapery and scarf-trains, and midi-length year-round skirts. An important part of Nazarelli’s DNA remains the theme of transparency. In the new collection, the brand continues to experiment with translucent silk fabrics, light tops with thin straps, and airy organza and mesh details that sensually soften the strict architectural layering.

For the brand’s founder, Anna Nazaryan, the leopard print in this collection has a much deeper emotional meaning. For a long time, Anna’s family has been caring for a real leopard at a zoo in Kharkiv.

“For many, the leopard is just a predator or a bright trend. But for our family, it is a symbol of devotion, inner strength, grace and true friendship. When creating this collection, I sought to convey this feeling – nobility and warmth, and not aggression or shock,” notes Anna Nazaryan.
