Linni Caro presented the SS27 AFTER BLOOM collection, inspired by the architecture of Lviv, the brand’s hometown, and the natural forms of flowers. In this collection, botanical elements meet the city’s architectural forms, transforming into silhouettes, lines, and the movement of the fabric.

«I wanted to show how the curve of the fabric can echo the geometry of urban elements, and how the shape of a petal can be incorporated into a garment», says the brand’s designer, Lilia Tykha.

AFTER BLOOM is built around organza and silk, combined with textured and heavy fabrics to create a contrast between lightness and form. The deep black of the dresses is complemented by milky and vanilla shades, echoing the colours of Lviv’s architecture. Ice grey, powder pink, beige and olive add a delicate touch, while red serves as an accent.

The collection’s key technique is three-dimensional draping and layering.  The fabric rises and twists like a stem or a leaf, taking on a distinctly sculptural quality. The connection between botany and architecture also appears in the details: curved folds echo the lines of columns, while spiral elements recall the shape of a staircase. 

The dresses are characterised by asymmetrical silhouettes, soft gathers and the fluid movement of the fabric. Some resemble an unfolding petal, while others take on a more sculptural quality through textured surfaces and voluminous details. The same sense of movement extends to skirts and tops, where pleats and curved lines emphasise the fluidity of the silhouette.

The collection’s name refers to the moment after flowering — when a flower has changed its form but not lost its beauty. This becomes a metaphor for the woman at the heart of the collection: a woman whose transformation does not diminish her beauty, but reveals it in a new light.

«For me, AFTER BLOOM isn’t about the beauty that remains in the past after the flowers have bloomed. On the contrary, it’s about the moment when form changes and, with it, a different kind of beauty is revealed — one that is more personal, mature and free,» adds Lilia Tykha.
