The “Ground / Resistance” collection grew out of the brand’s research into traditional shirts from the Ukrainian ethnographic regions of Opillia, Pokuttia, and Bessarabia. Their historic silhouettes and construction became a source of particular fascination: the proportions, relationships between individual elements, and structural lines reveal a kind of inherited knowledge in which form and function are inseparable. By returning to the experience of previous generations, Khrystyna Rachytska turns cultural memory into an act of resistance — drawing strength from what has endured.

When the familiar world around us is being destroyed, we search for what remains constant. For the Khrystyna Rachytska team, these constants are memory, land, language, family, and culture. This is why the embroidery throughout the collection is made by hand. Its expression, styling, and context are contemporary, while the technique follows a centuries-old tradition.

Embroidery becomes tangible evidence of memory, much as it was 100 or 150 years ago. Passed from one generation to another, it preserves symbols and outlives its makers, borders, and entire eras. Like cultural DNA, it carries memory forward while continuously taking on new forms. Resistance is what allows us to preserve our identity and our right to remain ourselves.When we have something to stand on, we can resist.At the heart of the collection are recreations of traditional cross-stitch embroidery found on Ukrainian shirts from the early 20th century. This season, the brand deliberately turns to vivid color as a means of drawing attention. Bright yellow, pink, violet, blue, and green embroidery shimmers against the matte surfaces of linen, wool, and hemp. Cyclamen runs through the collection as a recurring accent, appearing both in the embroidery and in the fabrics of skirts and dresses.

Accessories extend the same visual language through pattern, color, and proportion. Ribbons, tassels, and cotillion-inspired details are constructed from beads, bugle beads, and glass, translating familiar decorative codes into a contemporary vocabulary.
