Ukrainian Fashion Week

SS27 BACKSTAGE DAY 2

SS27 BACKSTAGE DAY 2

On September 3, Ukrainian Fashion Week continued the season with a series of individual presentations and runway shows. Each brand chose its own space to present its collection, turning Kyiv into a route connecting different fashion scenes across the city.

The second day featured GRAINS DE VERRE, KACHOROVSKA, BALYKINA, SYNDICATE, J’AMEMME, and PASKAL.

Behind the scenes, teams prepared the looks for the runway, made final fittings, and worked through the last details alongside stylists, designers, and backstage crews. This is where, just minutes before the start, each collection takes its final form. This year’s Fashion Week is taking place in a reality where even the familiar rhythm of fashion shows requires constant adaptation. Near-continuous air raid alerts became one of the major challenges of the second day: events were interrupted, teams had to adjust their plans, and participants and guests navigated this forced rhythm together. Despite the circumstances, the shows and presentations went ahead, demonstrating the Ukrainian fashion industry’s organisation, resilience, and ability to respond quickly.
