SS27:  Andreas Moskin show

Andreas Moskin presented the SS27 AWAKENING THE SELF collection, inspired by Carl Jung’s concept of inner awakening and the human journey towards the self.

«We wanted to create a collection about people who aren’t afraid to be themselves,» say the brand’s founders and designers, Andriy Moskin and Andreas Bilous. «The collection is designed to help people express themselves and nurture their inner state.»

At the heart of the collection lies architectural tailoring, which has become the brand’s defining feature. Sharp shoulders, exaggerated lapels, elongated vertical lines and sculptural silhouettes are combined with open body lines and the softness of the fabrics. The menswear range explores this aesthetic through structured waistcoats, deconstructed shirts and suits paired with Bermuda shorts. In the women’s line, the strict tailoring takes on a more sensual interpretation — structured suit silhouettes contrast with the softer textures and fluidity of evening wear. The colour palette includes black, ivory, warm chocolate, powder pink, rich red and a lime shade.

For the first time in Ukraine, a fashion show is accompanied by professional live audio description for guests with visual impairments. Delivered through a single earpiece, the audio description brings the runway to life by describing the models’ movements and key visual details. The other ear remains open to the music, audience reactions, and atmosphere of the show.

The experience is complemented by a dedicated tactile zone available before the show, where guests can explore the collection through touch, discovering its materials, textures, and details firsthand.

A standout part of the collection is an adaptive outfit created in collaboration with Perwoll. The outfit has been designed for people who use a leg prosthesis, taking into account their needs when getting dressed, moving, and wearing the garment daily. At its center is a black suit with open shoulders and a train featuring a contrasting red lining. Functionality is integrated directly into the trousers’ design. A side panel with a Velcro fastening system allows the trouser leg to be fully opened, providing quick access to the prosthesis. Additionally, the trousers can be transformed into shorts using a concealed fastening system.

The collection is complemented by handmade clutches crafted from fabric offcuts using upcycling techniques.AWAKENING THE SELF is presented at Ukrainian Fashion Week SS27 as a fashion show with elements of performance art. Perwoll, a premium laundry care brand, is the main partner of the show. The show’s broadcast partner is media service MEGOGO. For those unable to attend in person, the show is available to watch live and free of charge on the MEGOGO MUSIC channel, allowing viewers to join the presentation from wherever they are.

The show culminates in a performance set to MÉLOVIN’s song “Nebo” (“Sky”) with the artist’s intimate and sincere presence adding an emotional depth to the moment. The performance is joined by a model who uses a prosthesis. Her appearance on the runway and interaction with the musician unfolds as a story of its own — expressed through movement, gaze and presence. Together, the two create a final scene where fashion, music and personal experience meet in a shared emotional space. It becomes the culmination of AWAKENING THE SELF — a collection about the courage to be yourself and to embrace and express your own story.
