Winners of the “LOOK into the future” 2021 contest

On 5th September 2021, the final of the XXII All-Ukrainian contest of young fashion designers “LOOK into the future” took place in the Mystetskiy Arsenal within the New Generation of Fashion project.  There were 17 contestants from 11 cities of Ukraine, who presented their collections, they were selected from more than a hundred applicants.

 The Ukrainian Fashion Council is the organizer of the contest.  The New Generation of Fashion project is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

 Yelyzaveta Yurusheva, De Longhi Ukraine and Fondy has become partners of the contest.

 It is not the first time when Yelyzaveta Yurusheva, a businesswoman, philanthropist and hotelier, presents a grant to a young designer for the creation of a new collection.

 De Longhi Ukraine with TM Braun has supported once again the competition of young designers and presented ironing systems that are indispensable in the care of the most demanding clothes.

 The international payment platform Fondy is a service for big and small businesses that connects online payments from around the world, helps to accept card payments, using Apple and Google Pay or any other convenient way.

 This year, there were awarded three official prizes for the contest, as well as a special prize named after Sergey Yermakov.  The talented designer passed away in January this year.  The organizing committee of the “LOOK into the future” contest in honour of the memory of the talented Ukrainian designer has decided to launch a special award – an award for a designer whose collection uses a lot of handcraft.

Within the contest final, there also took place SERGEY ERMAKOV fashion show. Most of Sergey`s works are in private collections and scattered around the world.  Serhiy Yermakov’s mother, Vira Genadiyevna, and his friends helped to put together a small collection of the designer’s dresses to show the looks created by Sergey Yermakov before the award in his name was presented.

The winners of the All-Ukrainian contest of young fashion designers “LOOK into the future” were chosen by a jury – Ukrainian designers, members of the Ukrainian Fashion Council: Lilia Pustovit (head of the jury), Artem Klimchuk, Lilia Litkovskaya, Volodymyr Podolyan, Kateryna Silchenko, Ivan Frolov and UFC President Andre Tan.

The Serhiy Yermakov Special Prize for the use of handcraft – as a recognition of the skill and uniqueness of each item – has received the “CAPRICHOS” collection by designer Anna Kuzmenko (Brovary city).

The international payment platform Fondy has become a partner of this award.  The award was presented by a member of the contest jury Lilia Litkovska and Fondy brand director Andriy Babkin.

The third official award has received the “FUTURE URBAN NOMADS” collection designed by Natalia Dovganych (Stryi city).  The designer received a professional gift from the Braun brand – Braun Care Style 7 ironing system.

The award was presented by Artem Klimchuk, a member of the contest jury, and Olena Timofeeva, marketing manager of De Longhi Ukraine.

The second official award went to the “DECAY” collection by designer Olga Ochkas (Mariupol city).  The designer will represent Ukraine at the International Young Designers Contest and will have the opportunity to participate in New Names as a part of Ukrainian Fashion Week, as well as received a professional gift from the Braun brand – Braun Care Style 7 ironing system.

The Grand Prix of the “LOOK into the Future” 2021 contest has received the “GENDERLES” collection by designer Lilia Oliynyk (Cherkasy region, Smila).  The Grand Prix winner has received a grant to create a new collection from Yelyzaveta Yurusheva – a businesswoman, philanthropist, hotelier, as well as the opportunity to participate in New Names as a part of Ukrainian Fashion Week and will represent Ukraine at the International Young Designers Contest.
