Ukrainian label MY THEATRE by Dariia Bila joined forces with British magazine i-D for “After the Premiere: A Backstage Night,” staged during Paris Fashion Week.

On September 30, an immersive evening in the heart of Le Marais opened the brand’s two-day presentation of its new collection. The night extended the label’s guiding idea: the meeting point of fashion, theatre, and art. The space became a stage world in the moments after the curtain falls, when applause still lingers, the lights stay up, and the audience is invited to glimpse what lies behind the drapes.

Guests entered a mirrored hall bathed in red light and transformed into a theatrical backstage. At its center stood a mirrored table dressed with arrangements of roses and crimson velvet, a nod to the stage curtain. The velvet was adorned with signature MY THEATRE details, including artisan-crafted buttons and hand-beaded labels, carrying the codes of the brand from garment to space.

Performance was central to the evening. Dancers from Freedom Ballet, dressed in emblematic MY THEATRE pieces, appeared unexpectedly among the guests throughout the night. Their choreography was accompanied by a live set from GANNA, the Ukrainian vocalist and producer who blends ancient Ukrainian songs with live looping and electronics.

The evening launched a two-day presentation that continued on October 1 and 2, when guests could explore the new collection up close, studying the pieces and their details and stepping further into the world of MY THEATRE.
