FW26–27: Nelly De Vuyst Public Talk

On March 14, a public discussion titled “How Ethical Choices in Beauty and Fashion Shape a New Culture of Consumption” took place at the lecture hall of Ukrainian Fashion Week at Mystetskyi Arsenal. The talk was initiated by the dermocosmetics brand Nelly De Vuyst.

The speakers of the event were Iryna Hryban — an international expert in holistic wellness and SPA management, CEO of Complete SPA, and ambassador of Global Wellness Day in Ukraine — and Irena Vintsiuk, a stylist and expert in building a conscious wardrobe.

During the conversation, the speakers explored how ethical decisions in the fields of beauty and fashion shape new cultural practices, influencing the ways people consume, produce, and interact with brands. The discussion focused on responsible use of resources, conscious product choices, the longevity of garments, and the search for balance between aesthetics, health, and environmental awareness.

Iryna Hryban spoke about a holistic approach to beauty, where care for the skin, health, and a person’s inner state becomes part of a broader culture of well-being and mindful self-care.

In turn, Irena Vintsiuk shared her perspective on new principles of wardrobe building, where conscious consumption, the quality of garments, and their long life cycle play a defining role.

The topic of the discussion also resonated with the focus of Ukrainian Fashion Week FW26–27 on sustainable fashion — exploring new approaches to design, production, and consumption that shape a more responsible future for the industry.

The Nelly De Vuyst initiative became part of the growing dialogue on conscious consumption, which is increasingly emerging at the intersection of the beauty and fashion industries.
