FW26–27: Gallery of Defenders
As part of Ukrainian Fashion Week FW26–27, the “Portrait Gallery of Defenders” once again opened — a project dedicated to representatives of the fashion industry who have taken up the defense of Ukraine. The portraits feature designers, pattern makers, costume artists, photographers, brand managers, models, and other professionals whose lives were once connected with fashion and are now intertwined with war. Today, they serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, work as combat medics and paramedics, giving their strength and courage every day to defend the country.
For several years now, this project has stood as a gesture of gratitude to those who once shaped Ukrainian fashion and who are now protecting Ukraine’s future not only with their talent but also with bravery and sacrifice — sometimes even at the cost of their own lives.

This year, the Gallery of Defenders has been expanded with new names, as more representatives of the industry continue to join the military. At the same time, among the portraits in the exhibition are those who have given their lives for Ukraine — people who are no longer with us, yet whose memory and contribution remain an inseparable part of this story.
