Andre Tan introduced the “Mystical” collection, featuring top model Evelina Mambetova.

“I remember my first appearance as a model for Andre Tan like yesterday. It was in 2008, Ukrainian Fashion Week ‘fall-winter,’ my debut. Andre Tan approved me for his show, and from that moment, my amazing career in fashion began. So when Andre called me and offered to participate in this campaign in Paris, I didn’t hesitate for a second. It’s been 15 years, but I still owe Andre for being one of the first to believe in me and my modelling career,” comments Evelina Mambetova.

The New Year capsule consists of 12 models corresponding to the 12 zodiac signs.

The campaign shoot for the festive collection occurred one night in Paris, where the designer’s team encountered various adventures. The shoot’s mood and the clothing’s character dictated the collection’s name – “Mystical.” The items in the collection convey the charm of Parisian mystery, where you listen to your intuition and know that something unexpected and exciting will happen. After all, miracles do happen, especially on New Year’s Eve; you just have to believe. The models are in black, capturing the Parisian atmosphere effortlessly or making you feel like the heroine of French “New Wave” films.

According to Andre Tan, the “Mystical” collection holds significant personal meaning for him and has a special place among his couture collections: “The daily struggle and work for victory require a clear foundation. One must have a vivid imagination of why we do all this. So, I decided to release this collection. It’s about the collective Ukrainian dream, the ‘holiday that is always with you’ – even here in Ukraine. The war has given everyone a reassessment of values and an understanding of how little is needed for happiness: family, a loved one nearby, a peaceful sky above your head – what else do you need?”

The main reference for the “Mystical” collection is Ernest Hemingway’s novel “A Moveable Feast.” The book perfectly recreates the atmosphere of 1920s Paris, recovering after the horrors of war. Cosy cafes, street noise, pleasant aromas, museum exhibitions, and, of course, the sense of security that fosters the flourishing of love and other emotions. In this way, in the New Year capsule, Andriy Tan recreates the main dream of Ukrainians – victory over the enemy and a return to the joys of everyday life, where there is always room for wonder.
