UFW x BCEFW FW26–27
Ukrainian Fashion Week and Budapest Central European Fashion Week continue their collaboration in the FW26–27 season.
This season, young Ukrainian brands leCRI and SOLOMIIAHRYNKIV presented their FW26–27 collections within Budapest Central European Fashion Week, once again confirming the consistency of international support for the Ukrainian fashion industry. The event took place with the support of Creative Hungary — the state institution responsible for the development of Hungary’s creative industries.

Escapism, romance, and sustainability remain the brand’s core values. The FW26–27 collection is inspired by ama — the legendary Japanese “women of the sea,” professional divers whose tradition spans more than two thousand years. Their courage, discipline, and harmonious coexistence with the ocean become a metaphor for strength, resilience, and unity with the elements.
Staying true to the brand’s DNA, the designer continues to experiment with upcycling and handcrafted techniques. The collection features natural latex imitating octopus tentacles, interpretations of fishing nets, shells, and clay-crafted netsuke. Hand fabric manipulation plays a special role — including Japanese shibori dyeing, pleating, appliqué, and knitting.

SOLOMIIAHRYNKIV
The collection explores honesty with oneself and emotions people have learned to skillfully conceal. Its central theme is not merely clothing, but the human condition: fatigue, pain, and sadness — emotions often perceived as weakness and therefore kept invisible.
The image of the mask appears not as decoration, but as protection from a world that demands perfection, stability, and certainty. Yet regardless of the masks we wear, our true inner state reveals itself through body movement, colors and shapes, and the weight and transparency of materials — often chosen unconsciously.

The participation of Ukrainian brands in BCEFW once again highlights the importance of international solidarity and strengthens professional ties within the European fashion industry.
