UFW SS25: LITKOVSKA презентація

During this year’s Ukrainian Fashion Week, the LITKOVSKA brand presented a unique project that merged past and present through symbolic “Zhnyva” (Harvest). The season, which began in Kyiv and will continue in Paris, embodies the culmination of the brand’s efforts over nearly two decades, a reinterpretation of letter-writing traditions, and the iconic dichotomy of Kyiv-Paris.

One of the inspirations for the Kyiv presentation was the Underground Post of Ukraine—a hidden network created after World War II. Alternative stamps were issued by various Ukrainian communities in the mid-20th century, with renowned artists contributing to their designs. At the presentation, guests experienced their version of the “underground post.” This exchange began in Paris in March, where attendees from around the world wrote wishes for Ukraine’s victory, peace, and harmony on white ribbons during LITKOVSKA’s event. These messages were brought to Kyiv, forming an art installation to share warm words not only with event guests but also with all who wished to participate. Throughout September 4, invited representatives of the Ukrainian fashion community, clients, and friends of the brand wrote letters and postcards of gratitude, which will be sent to Paris. For this purpose, the LITKOVSKA team designed unique stamps that guests applied to their envelopes and postcards. This action aimed to revive the tradition of letter-writing and highlight the connection between cities and generations, which is central to the “Zhnyva” concept.

Special attention was given to calligraphy: the “ZHNYVA” logo, which became the season’s central symbol, was created by an individual who has been studying Ukrainian calligraphy for many years. This inscription visually embodied the idea of harvesting—both physical and spiritual. The presentation, held at the LITKOVSKA BASECAMP on Liuteranska Street—the future flagship store of the brand—also featured an exhibition of 80 photographs capturing key moments from nearly 20 years of LITKOVSKA, showcasing the “Harvest” of achievements and memories before embarking on a new exciting chapter in its history.

“Kyiv has always been and will always be our home. We wanted to create this sense of returning home and gathering the harvest of wishes from the world—to Ukrainians and from Ukrainians to the world. For us, this is a very special moment: to return to our native Kyiv for the first time with a physical event in many years, to gather in the space where our first flagship store will soon open. And we wanted to focus not on clothing, but on the dialogue between people and the importance of connection with home and roots,” summarized Liliya Litkovska.
