SS26: VOGUE public talk
On Saturday, September 6, at the M17 Contemporary Art Center, Ukrainian photographers Olena Subach, Ira Lupu, Anya Brudna, and the curator of the FUTURESPECTIVE project, creative director of Vogue Ukraine Marta Bertman, held a public talk titled “The Feeling of the Present and the Expectation of the Future” within the framework of the FUTURESPECTIVE photo exhibition and Ukrainian Fashion Week SS26.

Among the favorite themes of Lviv-based Olena Subach, laureate of the FUTURESPECTIVE 2025 award recognized by the international jury, are the fragility of human existence and generational rupture. Odesa-born Ira Lupu closely examines the fears and dreams of young people coming of age in a country at war. Anya Brudna, originally from Yalta, poetically reflects on memory and identity.

During the public talk moderated by Vogue Ukraine’s Culture Editor Daria Slobodyanyk, the artists spoke about emotions, corporeality, and how war reshapes perception.
The FUTURESPECTIVE exhibition will run until September 28.
