As part of Ukrainian Fashion Week SS26, the “Portrait Gallery of Defenders” was once again presented — a project dedicated to the people of the fashion industry who stood up to defend Ukraine. The portraits feature designers, tailors, costume artists, photographers, brand directors, models, and others whose lives were once tied to fashion, and are now tied to the war. They serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, work as combat medics and paramedics, giving their strength and courage to protect the country.

This installation is a tribute to all those who helped shape Ukrainian fashion and now defend the nation’s future not only with their talent, but also with their bravery and sacrifice.

This year, the “Gallery of Defenders” has grown, as even more representatives of the industry have joined the army. Sadly, three of the heroes whose portraits are also presented in the exhibition gave their lives for Ukraine.
