“Look into the Future” Announces the Curator of the 2026 Contest

The 27th All-Ukrainian Contest for Young Fashion Designers “Look into the Future. New Forms of Reality” announces its curator. In 2026, the contest will be curated by Katya Silchenko, founder and designer of the COAT by Katya Silchenko, who will also lead the creative residency for the finalists.

In her curatorial role, Katya Silchenko will work closely with the finalists to rethink established approaches to fashion, explore new forms and proportions, and integrate innovative solutions into their contest collections.

Katya Silchenko will oversee the “Look into the Future. New Forms of Reality” Residency Program, designed as a platform for the professional growth of the contest finalists. As in previous years, the residency will combine lectures by industry professionals, curatorial guidance throughout the collection development process, and practical insights from leading experts.

A key element of the residency will be Katya Silchenko’s direct dialogue with the finalists—creating space for the exchange of experience, knowledge, and professional vision, and supporting each participant’s development and future trajectory within the fashion industry.

“The fashion industry in Ukraine is actively developing and today has a particular need for new talented designers. My goal is not only to support and nurture their talents, but also to create an environment in which they can continue to grow and realize their potential beyond the contest, in the long term.

Mutual exchange is fundamental to me. By engaging with the energy and inspiration of the finalists, I am ready to share practical experience, industry insights, and open access to professional networks,” — Katya Silchenko, founder and designer of the COAT by Katya Silchenko.

“Since its inception, the mission of the contest ‘Look into the Future’ has been to discover and support emerging talent. The development of the Ukrainian fashion industry relies on generational continuity, and the contest plays an important role in this process.

In these exceptionally challenging times, we are focused on building a community that inspires established professionals while simultaneously supporting and developing young designers who are just beginning their professional journey,” — Iryna Danylevska, co-founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week.

Applications for participation in the 27th All-Ukrainian Contest for Young Fashion Designers “Look into the Future. New Forms of Reality” are open until February 15. Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 33 who have been studying or working in the field of fashion for more than three years are eligible to apply.
