“Look into the Future. The Khanenko Museum Collection”: Semifinalists Announced

The XXVI All-Ukrainian Competition for Young Fashion Designers, “Look into the Future,” which has been unveiling new names in Ukrainian fashion for over a quarter of a century, announces the list of semifinalists. This year, the competition focuses on the legacy of the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Arts, which serves as the main theme and inspiration for the competing collections.

From 60 applications, the professional jury has selected 18 semifinalists:

  • Vanyulina Viktoriia
  • Varenych Daria
  • Hnidenko Alina
  • Hrechanovska Khrystiana
  • Hrodzevych Valerii
  • Dimіtriieva Yelyzaveta

For the first time, the competition not only introduces a theme but also appoints a curator – renowned Ukrainian designer Ivan Frolov. Having started his path to success by winning “Look into the Future,” Frolov will now guide young designers in refining and deepening their creative talents.

Another new addition to this year’s competition is a residency program for the semifinalists. Participants will have the opportunity to expand their ideas and refine their collections by working alongside both experts from the Khanenko Museum and leading Ukrainian fashion stylists.

The collaboration between the competition and the Khanenko Museum highlights the importance of synergy between fashion and art. It is not only a chance for young designers to draw inspiration from national cultural heritage but also an opportunity to become part of a global creative dialogue.
