FW25-26: OMELIA presentation
This season, as part of Ukrainian Fashion Week FW’25-26, the OMELIA brand presented a performance-presentation in collaboration with director and art director Veronika Yemelianova. Her creative approach combines philosophical reflections with theatrical expressiveness. Having started her career in Montreal, where she worked with local artists and designers, Veronika created advertising campaigns, short films, and stage performances.

At the heart of the event is an exploration of choice, essence, and the fragility of human nature through a fusion of fashion, music, and theater. The stage is designed as a theatrical laboratory: three white stands hold glass flasks containing soil, black resin, and emptiness. The space is illuminated with cold, bright lighting, creating the effect of an experimental lab. The performance opens with harpist Antonina Zozulia-Saliy, who improvises a piece inspired by the works of Alfred Schnittke.

OMELIA’s concept allows for experimentation with deconstructivism, transforming fabric remnants into new forms and textures. This principle guided the creation of the performance’s key look — a dress made from 20 meters of deadstock fabric, adorned with flowers cut from vintage shirts. Veronika Yemelianova, acting as both director and performer, interacts with the dress throughout the performance, causing it to shift and transform in response to her movements.

“This performance is about transformation. It was important for me to convey the beauty of change and the inevitability of rebirth, and Veronika’s art became the perfect way to embody this concept,” notes the brand’s designer, Kostiantyn Omelia.
The OMELIA performance merges fashion, art, and theater, leaving room for the audience’s own interpretations.
