The XXVI All-Ukrainian Contest of Young Fashion Designers “A Look into the Future. The Khanenko Museum Collection”, which for more than a quarter of a century has been discovering new names in Ukrainian fashion, has reached its final stage. The finalists’ show will take place on September 4, on the opening day of Ukrainian Fashion Week SS26, and will serve as the official start of the season.

This year, the Contest embraced a theme — the heritage of the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Arts, which inspired participants to create their collections. It is therefore symbolic that the collections of the ten finalists will be showcased within the museum’s renowned halls.

The Grand Prix of the Contest amounts to 100,000 UAH, provided by the main partners of the Contest — Visa and PrivatBank — as part of the campaign “Financial Fashion — Creating Financial Style.” Visa and PrivatBank support the new generation of designers and foster entrepreneurial thinking within the creative community.

The holders of the Second and Third Prizes will receive grants for further professional development from public figure and founder of the United For Freedom Foundation, Iryna Adonina.

The winners of “A Look into the Future. The Khanenko Museum Collection” will be determined by the jury — renowned Ukrainian designers and members of the Ukrainian Fashion Council: Svitlana Bevza, Iryna Karavay, Lilia Litkovska, Lilia Pustovit, and Ksenia Schnaider.

It is worth noting that this year the Contest for the first time introduced a Residency program for semi-finalists and announced a curator — designer Ivan Frolov, whose success story began with his own victory in “A Look into the Future” back in 2013.

The looks of the models presenting the finalists’ collections are created with the support of the Contest’s beauty partner — LAMEL cosmetics.
