As the textile artist I teach and popularize my eld, showing new generation how old techniques could be used to produce something very contemporary and even innovative. Combining my textile expertise with designing garments I create new methodology – making clothing more personal through patterns. Making clothing personal is also a slow fashion trend. I believe that revolution in fashion is already on its way. The continuous work of raising awareness of sustainable fashion is leading the way to the disappearance of the fast fashion centric industry. My new collection is about the connection between the human mind and the human body. Will our conscious mind advance to leave behind it's corporal body – or are we trapped? In the modern world more and more people are living in two parallel universes: the existence of minds is becoming virtual with its acceleration, expansion and infinity, while our bodies are trapped in dealing with everyday routine needs. Sometimes it feels that the mind and the body are not one. And could the mind continue to live on, when the body fails? Maybe we could free our mind from being attached to the body, that can barely operate well for just one hundred year and even less. The science is already exploring the possibilities to free our minds from our bodies, whereas plenty of reappearing ancient cultures are claiming this already be the reality.
