Ukrainian designer Roksolana Bogutska has celebrated the 15th anniversary of her brand within Lviv Fashion Week presenting her new autumn winter collection in Mirotel Resort&Spa on March 29. During a press-conference preceding the fashion show Roksolana shared that the collection was developed specially for the anniversary and has turned out to be too big – more than 50 looks.
Roksolana Bogutska AW 2013-14 collection is traditionally feminine and elegant, amazing with a talented combination of ethnics and contemporary materials supported by impeccable quality, perfect cut and authenticity of each model: vintage, hand-made embroidery, leather and fur. All the collections of Roksolana Bogutska are rather eclectic – the designer develops ethnic, urban, pop-art, Vienna secession styles. For her collection the designer ordered fabrics from Italy.
To celebrate the anniversary the designer also organized a retrospective exhibition exposing the most significant items created by Roksolana Bogutska in different periods. Among the exponents the visitors could see inauguration costume of the ex-first lady Kateryna Yushchenko and a costume in which a popular Ukrainian singer Ruslana conquered Eurovision 2004. The exposition opened on March 28 in Gary Bowmen Gallery in Lviv.
We gladly share the detail that for the exposition the designer also used photos depicting different periods of the designer’s creative life. The photos were borrowed from a unique Ukrainian Fashion Council photo-archive which has been digitalized recently.
