Ethnic festival "Kraina Mriy" is a musical folk-lore action in the format of street festivities and a fair with the key events held on the main stage: concerts of the best musicians, Ukrainian folk bands and ethnic music performers. The festival was founded in 2004 and has been held on the territory of Spivoche Pole Kyiv Pechersk landscape park for 8 consecutive years. Each year the festival’s program is rich in concerts of Ukrainian and foreign music bands, books fairs, literature stage, folk painters’ exhibitions, interactive ethnic playgrounds for children and folk artists fairs.
This year, for the second time already, the festival will also present “Ethnic Fashion” project. Ukrainian Fashion Week again gladly supports this initiative on the invitation of the founder of the festival "Kraina Mriy" Oleg Skrypka.
For some 50 years of its existence in Europe ethnic style has gained so much popularity and influence that it always stays inspired and timely no matter what the global seasonal trends and tendencies are. Ukrainian designers always make a significant contribution to this style and this fact gives a hope that their ability to feel and to preserve authentic traditions of Ukrainian national costume, as well as to integrate its elements and spirit into modern collections will help the ethnic style to develop and spread all over.
On June 23, within this year’s outstanding Ukrainian ethnic event, the guests of the festival will again have the chance to admire incredible ethnic collections of renowned Ukrainian designers and brands: RUTA, Khrystyna Rachytska, RITO and Valeria Marchi.
