Unveiling the Secrets of Ukrainian Designers before the 33rd Ukrainian Fashion Week
On the eve of Ukrainian Fashion Week some designers unveiled their secrets – drawings and sketches of their new collections.
Anna Bublik – “traditional pentagram and geographical prints”
When Anna Bublik was watching the patterns of a kaleidoscope she got the idea of her new collection. Bright colors, geometric prints, traditional pentagram (which has almost become a logo of the brand) and the finest materials – these are the main characteristics of SS 2014 Anna Bublik collection. As for Anna, she believes that the greatest stimulus for the development of Ukrainian fashion is the wish of Ukrainian women to have exquisite an interesting look. Anna Bublik clothes are created for a new generation of urban beau monde.
Domanoff – “city silhouette and spirit by DOMANOFF”
The designer of DOMANOFF brand was inspired by the silhouette of the city. “Courageous search of freedom, joy from new impressions and move towards changes, feeling solitude in the crowd of a big city and self-realization as the substitute for this feeling – this what makes us similar to each other, and this what is reflected in DOMANOFF clothes”, - comments the designer.
ELENAREVA – “another collaboration with an artist”
Elena Reva will present her collection printed with patterns from Lada Nakonechna paintings. ELENAREVA dresses are recognized for the finest quality, femininity and bright prints.
Ksenia Schnaider – “a velvet sweatshort with golden “Corruption” embroidery”.
Designer duo Ksenia Schnaider, who has just come back from Chengdu Fashion Week, manage to create items which immediately become popular among bloggers and street style photographers. One of the definite must-have items from their new collection is a velvet sweatshort with golden “Corruption” embroidery.
Iryna Dil’ – “complicated fabrics and minimalistic accents”
Iryna Dil’ will present her collection built on minimalistic accents combined with embroidery, complicated fabrics, designer print and color game. The collection is finished with floral motives making the collection light and delicate.
Elena Burba – “natural colors and energy of a big city”
Elena Burba will present her SS 2014 Agro Chic collection inspired by the designer’s trip to Italy. The collection combines calm natural colors and energy of a big city. The designer says that she tried to reflect the mentality of Italians and their way of living (in both – big cities and small villages) in her collection.
PODOLYAN – “an eternal conflict between conservators and a liberal”
New PODOLYAN collection will reflect an eternal conflict between conservators and a liberal, the counteraction of thoughts and opinions. There will always be those who are intuitively rebellious, and with each new generation they will bring new ideas opposing the system. For the next spring-summer season the designer will offer strict graphic silhouettes: summer coats, cocktail dresses, blouses, trousers and waistcoats. In asymmetric combinations the designer contrasts deep black, yellow and purple Fandango-shade fuchsia. In the final, bright sky-blue color accentuates the contrast.
Olena Dats' – “dresses-protectors”
Olena Dats’ SS 2014 collection is very symbolic. Tiny elements grew into big elements of dresses. “I hope that my dresses will become spiritual protectors for somebody”, - Olena Dats’. The designer offers classic combination of beige and black, embroidery and print.
