Designer of young brand MAKI Makar Tsypan debutes at Ukrainian Fashion Week catwalk. His Spring Summer 2016 collection “Nature” is created in New Ukrainian Look concept, where futurism and minimalism are combined with ethnic-style elements of décor, diverse techniques of Ukrainian couture and handmade embroidery.
MAKI designer experiments with colors and ancient techniques, which are thoroughly studied and are presented in a new way, in an up-to-date stylized way, at the same time preserving the meaning of each element. The key message of the designer is “going to the future, but basing on past experience, knowledge and skills.
“Nature” collection is created in exclusively natural, organic fabrics. Every look has its own story and its own meaning.
MAKI offers to men to be ardent and progressive, not to be afraid of bright elements in clothes. Among the men’s looks there are shirts with vertical-lines-embroidery, colorful elements in batik technique, jackets in tapestry technique.
The dress recapitulating the fashion show of the brand embodies several handmade techniques – white on white embroidery, multi-row hem-stitch, square hem-stitch and many other techniques, which designer Makar Tsypan admires and adapts to up-to-date looks.
