EuroFashion – a Special Project of Ukrainian Fashion Week – Has Been Presented!
Ukrainian Fashion Week as one of the most important East European Fashion weeks has officially presented its grandiose event EuroFashion – a special project of the 30th Ukrainian Fashion Week, dedicated to European Football Championship EURO 2012. This Project will also become a special gift for the country which opens itself to the world and opens the world to itself on the eve of EURO 2012.
The press-conference was opened by the Curator of EuroFashion Project Supermodel Dji Dieng honoured with the Award for Humanity, the United Nations Volunteer Award, the Leading Ladies Award and others. She stated her gratitude to Ukrainian Fashion Week which not only forms the fashion space of the country, but also supports socially-significant actions.
Iryna Danylevska, the Head of EuroFashion Project, the President of Ukrainian Fashion Council, a co-founder and the Head of Ukrainian Fashion Week Organizing Committee assured that Ukrainian Fashion Week has never been standing aside the events which happen in the country. Surely, EURO 2012 is the most actual event for the present moment, as this event gives unmeasurable opportunities for the development and the presentation of the country to the international community. Fashion, Culture, Sport and social responsibility have all joined together in one unique project unprecedented for Ukraine and for the whole Europe.
16 designers-representatives of the countries-participants of EURO 2012 will have the pride to be Fashion Ambassadors of their countries and to honour the 14th Football Championship. Great Britain, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Russia, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Ukraine – all of them together mean the Project EuroFashion. That is, extraordinary fashion-shows of 16 European designers within the 30th Ukrainian Fashion Week, which will display to the entire world the Team Spirit, Creativity, Innovativeness, Charity and Social Responsibility of Europe.
Maryna Dedenko, the Head of Borys Kolesnikov’s Foundation, which is an official partner of EuroFashion Project, mentioned in her speech that their foundation has gladly supported the idea of the Project. The Foundation’s activity is directed towards the development of Education, Sports, as well as towards the preservation and support of cultural heritage. One of the primary missions of Borys Kolesnikov’s Foundation is contribution to the development and multiplication of the historical and cultural heritage of the country, as well as provision of all the necessary conditions for its popularization worldwide.
Iryna Danylevska, a co-founder and the Head of Ukrainian Fashion Week Organizing Committee stated that the 30th Ukrainian Fashion Week’s beneficial cause is the Clean Water Cause. The 30th Ukrainian Fashion Week, together with Fashion Ambassadors of 16 European countries stand for the Preservation of the Clean Water on the Planet. Symbolically the dates of the project concur with the United Nations World Water Day supported by the United Nation Development Program.
Ms. Ricarda Rieger, UNDP Ukraine Country Director underlined the importance of the support of the United Nations World Water Day by everyone and told about the activity of the UNO in this direction. She stated that the initiative of each one participant of EuroFashion Project is significant to display that this problem is burning for everybody.
Maurizio Aschero, the Producer of the World Water Day Events supported by the UNO accentuated in his speech the special events of the Project and strengthened that all the outstanding guests of the Project – musicians and singers who will participate in these events – will do it without any reward, honouring the UN World Water Day.
Réné Ralf, CEO of Seccor Holding S.A., a partner of EuroFashion Project, joined the discussion and underlined the dimensions of the Project and a great significance of its charity cause.
