On March 10 a young Italian-Ukrainian brand TROFYMENKO debuted at Ukrainian Fashion Week presenting F/W 2013-14 womenswear collection. “My Modern Love” collection by TROFYMENKO is inspired by Paris in the 50s.
“In those years Paris experienced its second birth, its new spring. That is why in my fantasies Paris is full of love fragrance, tender charm and elegance. This is the fragrance of morning crispy baguette. This is the smell of wet pavement in which red rising sun rays are reflected and two silhouettes in love turning back home in the morning. This is the smell of lilies of the valley that are sold at the corner of Saint- Jermaine. This is the sound of heels and the rustle of tulip-shaped skirt flickering in the arc”,explains the designer of the brand Sasha Trofymenko.
All these bright, almost tangible associations are well-read in F/W 2013-14 TROFYMENKO collection: dresses have classical silhouettes and strict length, thanks to corset they form or emphasize the ideal figure, however in addition to this they are extremely feminine and sexy. In order to create those the designer used classical and expensive materials. Thus, blouses are hand-made in milk cadi by Italian seamstresses, tulip-shaped skirts are created in expensive Italian Valentino cotton and are decorated with gold buttons. Among other fabrics used by designer there are wool, suede, velvet, Qadi and Aba that were produced by Italian factories. A lot of fabrics are embroidered with sequins and are decorated with beaded appliqués. In addition to different shades of black that has become a real color code for TROFYMENKO brand the designer also used modest navy, milk, dark-brown, beige and green colors.
