While creating new SS18 collection, Olena Dats’ was inspired by the works of the Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt and an English illustrator Aubry Beardsley. Main colors of the collection are white, golden and black. The collection could be divided into two parts: lightweight dresses and shirts with golden or black floral prints, inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt, and dresses in the style of the era of art nouveau with graphic ornaments and strict silhouette, inspired by the works of Aubry Beardsley.
Olena Dats' SS18 is a story about parties of the early twentieth century on the French Riviera, about red carpets and the escape from the routine to the world of luxury and holidays. Olena Dats’ think that modern girls who are nostalgic for the golden age of Art Nouveau, for the beautiful jazz and fine art will like these dresses with embroidery and print. The main motive of the collection was iris flower, made in the silk-screen printing technique and needlepoint embroidery. The ornament adorns blouses, skirts, dresses and shirts. The collection is very feminine, elegant and light. Dresses of different lengths, skirts, blouses and shirts of a complex and at the same time laconic cut are in the collection. After the show in Kyiv, Olena Dats’ will visit Paris to take part in a showroom that will take place within the framework of the Paris Fashion Week.
"Creating new collection, I also think about who will wear my clothes and how it will be sold. Otherwise I will not be able to create and produce the next collection. And I do not think this is the wrong approach. The clothes that are not worn lose its sense, and when I see French women on Parisian streets in my dresses, I want to work more. This is my main inspiration ", - said Olena Dats’.
