IYDC ORGANIZING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES THE INTERNATIONAL JURY BOARD FOR 2020 ONLINE EDITION
The Organizing Committee has the honour to present the internationally recognized fashion experts of the professional jury of the International Young Designers Contest online edition 2020.
Since the launch of the Contest in 2018, the jury members have been:
Liana Satenstein, the senior fashion writer at Vogue.com (USA)
Giovanni Ottonello, Professor, Creative Director of Istituto Europeo di Design (Italy)
Riccardo Terzo, fashion editor Vogue Talents, contributor Vogue Italia, stylist
Yu Masui, LVMH prize scout, journalist, contributor of the leading international fashion media, blogger.

Last year Philippe Pourhashemi, the fashion coach from Belgium, joined IYDC jury panel. Philippe also is a stylist and journalist, writing for Metal, Behind the Blinds, A Shaded View of Fashion.
“Fashion is ephemeral, - Philippe said in one of his interviews. - I think we need to accept that. Provided that they have real desire and real potential, I always encourage young designers to give it a try. It’s a learning opportunity, a school of life.”
This year Anna Barr is invited to join the IYDC jury. Anna Barr is an Editor and Creative Director at PAIRS project and FY!. Anna lived and worked in the UK, USA, France, Italy, Greece, and Japan gaining extensive exposure to international markets and trends across a variety of multimedia as well as being a trend analyst.
IYDC finalists will be meeting the Jury Board through a series of live sessions where they will get the chance to ask jury members about the insights of how the fashion industry works, how talents are scouted and how to grow from an emerging brand to an established one. The Jury Board will share their knowledge and experience in advising participants on how to become successful designers.
The International Young Designers Contest is organized by the Ukrainian Fashion Council with the support of Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. IED - Istituto Europeo di Design is the IYDC partner and co-organizer of the online Fashion Visual Art Residence.
IYDC Grand Prix is $5,000 from the organizing committee and a scholarship from the Istituto Europeo di Design to study at one of the IED summer courses.
