#HEFORSHE + UFW: gender equality in fashion
HeForShe global solidarity movement, initiated by UN in 2014 together with Ukrainian Fashion Week presents a project. It aims to join representatives of Ukrainian fashion industry to the human rights dialogue.
Designers in collaboration with artists have created images inspired by the HeForShe movement, the theme of gender equality, human rights and freedom of choice. Famous Ukrainian fashion brands: BEVZA, Lake Studio, LITKOVSKAYA, FROLOV and ARTEMKLIMCHUK, as well as well-known artists and illustrators: Vova Vorotnyev, Anatoliy Belov, Maria Gavrilyuk, Maria Ralemska and Masha Shubina participated in the project.
Five images will be presented on the first day of the Ukrainian Fashion Week. Guests of the Fashion Week will be able to see the result of the cooperation in a special HeForShe corner in Mystetskyi Arsenal on September 1-6.
Also in support of the project, HeForShe team created a video where the most famous Ukrainian designers think about the importance of achieving gender equality and the role of the fashion industry in this struggle. Participants of the HeForShe + UFW: gender equality in fashion have expressed their position on equal rights and opportunities for all, as well as support for the HeForShe Global Solidarity Movement. The author of the video became Serhii Morgunov, the operator, director and finalist of this year's Fashion Film Festival Kyiv.
We invite you to join the presentation of the project "HeForShe + UFW: gender equality in fashion", which will take place on September 1 at 4.30 pm in a special corner of HeForShe in Mystetskyi Arsenal. During the presentation, the head of Ukrainian Fashion Week Organizing Committee Iryna Danylevska and the UN Women's representative Anastasiia Divinska will give a speach. After this, the guests of the corner will be able to see the result of the cooperation of designers and artists - the images that they created specifically for the project "HeForShe + UFW: gender equality in fashion".
