Project EuroFashion-2012 Presentation

The Head of the Organizing Committee Iryna Danylevska and the Сhief of UFW international development department Maurizio Aschero told to the journalists about the Special Project set to celebrate the 30^th Anniversary Ukrainian Fashion Week. This unprecedented for the Fashion World event - Project EuroFashion - will join 16 designers-representatives of countries-participants of the UEFA EURO-2012 Championship. On March 19-20, 2012 this designers will have the chance to become Fashion Ambassadors of their countries and to honour the 14^th Championship. «Most people treat Fashion as an exclusively elite Art. At the same time Football means a really public phenomenon having millions of supporters. Project EuroFashion will help to attract a more broad audience to the world of Fashion and to join it with the World of Sports”, stated Iryna Danylevska.

Maurizio Aschero underlined the level of complication in gathering designers from16 different European countries in one project, as all of them have diverse views on Fashion and its traditions.   At the same time this will allow to show the world of Fashion in quite a different context of European development of various styles and countries. The Project is already attracting vivid interest of the journalists and there is no doubt that soon it will be familiar to everyone. Iryna Danylevska noticed that the principle point of EuroFashion is to show in Kyiv the latest collections of the designers and to amaze the sophisticated public with the diversity of European styles and views on Fashion.

To be the invited curator of the Project Ukrainian Fashion Week engaged a world-known supermodel Dji Dieng (France) honored with numerous awards, such as Award for Humanity, the United Nations Volunteer Award etc. That’s not occasionally, as the coming Project itself has a charity case. Ukrainian Fashion Week and supermodel Dji Dieng raise consciousness about the importance of preservation of the Clean Water in order to proclaim this topic within their 30^th Anniversary Fashion Week and to support it afterwards.  The World Day for Water is celebrated on March 22 according to the resolution of the UNO. There can be seen a deep symbolism in the almost exact coincidence of the dates of the Project and the Day for Water. Water in its different states will not only become the leitmotif of certain out-of-the-catwalk activities, but will be followed by the arrangement of the location.  This March Goodwill Ambassadors together with the organizing committee of Ukrainian Fashion Week and supermodel Dji Dieng will stand for the preservation of the Clean Water on the Planet.

Project EuroFashion presents 16 diverse views on Fashion on one catwalk! Ukrainian Fashion Week and supermodel Dji Dieng welcome everyone to join the Project which will become a significant event for the whole Fashionable Europe!
