London Fashion Week Review

Some of the designers have already presented their collections within London Fashion Week, so UFW is glad to share with you the best of the best seen by now. Three days of the Fashion Week were full of bright and professional shows worth your attention.

One of the designers opening London Fashion WeekCaroline Charles – has been among the most powerful representatives of British Fashion for almost 50 years already. She has created some of the remarkable looks for Mick Jagger and her devoted client Princess Diana. Caroline Charles AW12 collection presents fresh prints with the usual for the brand elegance. Classic checks, outright leopard, flowers, restrained stripes and bright glitter make the feminine silhouettes so typical for the designer even more finished.

The hope of the British Fashion – Jasper Conran – has founded his trademark at 19. Renowned critics of the international fashion-community highly appraise his potential. Jasper creates clothes which make women look like ladies – elegant and splendid. His AW12 collection is the ode to a grace. Warm colors, feminine silhouettes, and beautiful fabrics create the image of an elegant self-confident lady.

Young designer Simone Rocha uses in her collections both – modernism and romantics. Her native Ireland is her constant inspiration. Simone Rocha AW12 collection present strict forms, fashionable details and light colours unusual for the cold season.

In 2010 Fashion House Mulberry with its creative director Emma Hill was awarded the name “Designer Brand of the year”. Mulberry client is a woman who likes efficient and long-living clothes of a high quality. Hill creates cosy and beautiful clothes at a time. Warm colours and original prints has become the visiting card of the Fashion House already. Her AW12 collection is a mix of never-old classics and audacious contemporary elements.

Matthew Williamson uses an exuberant colour range in his AW12 collection. Precious gold and platinum, bright turquoise and burning terra-cotta, noble bordeaux and coal-black… A very interesting remark: for his 34 exquisite looks the designer was looking for inspiration in the pictures of Saint Petersburg palaces.
